Grace does not always arrive quietly. Sometimes it moves through contrast, instinct, and blue-shadowed strength, finding its own balance without asking permission.

Philosophy of Making
This space is for the unfinished moments: thread choices, quiet decisions, framing notes, and the small changes that happen before a piece is ready to leave the studio.
Each piece begins with an image, a memory, a color relationship, or a feeling I want to understand more fully through stitch.
The work develops slowly on cream duck canvas, one decision at a time. Some areas are planned; others reveal themselves as the piece grows.
Framing is part of the artwork's final voice. Mat color, texture, glass, and scale all affect how the stitching is experienced.
Studio Notes
Each piece is stitched entirely by hand using carefully selected threads and fabrics. The slow pace is intentional. It allows me to create subtle changes in color, texture, and balance that would be lost if the work were rushed.
A finished piece is never an exact copy of the original sketch. It is the record of hundreds of decisions, some added, some removed, all made in service of the work itself.
Every piece is free to become something better than I first imagined.
The butterfly, the tree, the roots, the flowers, and even the creative process itself all obey the same idea: nothing living is fixed. Everything is allowed to become. I fully embrace the notion that something made with care can outlast the moment in which it was created.
The Artist
Second Bloom Studio reflects a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship, nature, and the quiet resilience found in beginning again.
Through embroidery, trees, flowers, and butterflies become more than natural subjects. They become reflections of growth, healing, memory, and hope. Each piece is created slowly and intentionally, inviting the viewer to pause and discover beauty in places often overlooked.
Each piece is stitched by hand, with patience, intention, and an appreciation for the beauty found in quiet details.
Some visitors see butterflies. Others see memories. Both are right.
The best art doesn't tell people what to feel. It gives them enough space to discover what they already feel.
Every piece begins as an idea, shaped by memory, observation, and imagination. My hands simply give it form. Its meaning is completed by the person who stands before it.
Presentation Options
Crimson Bloom, Full Bloom, and Wild Grace are currently framed. The remaining butterflies are available today as original textile works and may also be finished as framed pieces by request.
When a piece feels complete, it is professionally framed using archival materials chosen to preserve the embroidery for years to come. Every decision, from the stitching to the framing, is made with longevity in mind.
Finish Details
Finished framed pieces are prepared as complete objects, with attention to the front, side depth, backing, hanging hardware, and archival finishing.
